Nobody's heels are
naturally smooth.They're maintained.
SilkStep is a two-stage callus system with directional control — so you take off the dead layers and stop exactly where living skin begins.
Cordless · Rinse-safe barrel · 4-dot charge readoutYou feel it before
anyone sees it.
The drag against a bedsheet. The snag on new tights. The half-second decision to keep your shoes on. Rough heels are a texture problem long before they're a looks problem — and creams were never going to reach the layer causing it.
Your creams were never
getting through that.
Callus is compacted, keratin-dense armour. It doesn't dissolve. It has to be reduced — evenly, in controlled passes, at a speed you choose.
PumicePolishes the surface, never reaches the load-bearing layer. Ten minutes of scrubbing changes nothing.
BladesTake skin in sheets, not layers. One slip opens a fissure instead of closing one.
PeelsShed the top film on a two-week delay. Thick heels barely register it.
SalonWorks — for about eleven days. Then you're back on the waitlist.
Four things a drugstore foot file physically cannot do.
Work with the grain, not against it
Flip the roller direction to follow the curve of your heel or the edge of a toe. Cheap tools spin one way and fight you on every contour.
Reduce, then refine
Coarse mineral grit breaks down the built-up plate. Fine grit closes the surface so it feels finished instead of sanded. One barrel can't do both jobs.
Twist off. Hold under the tap. Done
The barrel detaches and rinses clean in seconds — so you're not storing last month's dead skin inside the tool you press against your feet.
Never dies mid-heel
See exactly how much runtime is left before you start. USB-C in, weeks of passes out. No batteries, no cord across the bathroom floor.
The 4-Minute Protocol
Sequence matters more than pressure. Follow it in order and you get an even, finished surface. Skip a step and you get patches.
Soak 3–5 minutes
Warm water only. Softened callus reduces in clean layers instead of resisting in chunks — this one step does half the work. Pat dry before you start.
Coarse barrel, low speed
Set the rotation direction to follow the shape of the area. Move continuously. Never hold the barrel on one spot — that's how people go too deep.
Feel the drag change — stop there
When the resistance drops away, you've reached living skin. That's your line. Switch to the fine barrel and make two light finishing passes.
Twist off, rinse, moisturise
Barrel under the tap, air dry. Then seal the fresh surface with foot cream — now it can actually absorb. Repeat every 7–10 days.

Ask the awkward ones.
Not if you follow the protocol. SilkStep reduces skin in thin layers, not sheets — the failure mode with electric files isn't the tool, it's holding it on one spot. Keep it moving, start on the fine barrel at low speed, and stop the moment the drag disappears. That change in resistance is your signal that you've reached living skin.
Some powder comes off — that's what removal looks like. Two things contain it: soak first (damp skin sheds as fine dust, not airborne flakes) and put a towel down. The barrel twists off and rinses under the tap in about five seconds, so nothing stays inside the tool.
Fair — it's the number one complaint in this category, and it's why the 4-dot readout exists. You see the charge state before every session instead of discovering it mid-heel. Charge over USB-C; a full charge covers multiple sessions. If your unit won't hold a charge, that's a defect, not a limitation — contact us for a replacement.
Then don't try to fix it in one sitting — that's the mistake. Severe build-up comes down over two or three sessions spread across a week or two, soaking each time. After that, one pass every 7–10 days holds it. One caveat we won't soften: if you're diabetic, have neuropathy, poor circulation, or open fissures, speak to a podiatrist before using any electric file. Reduced sensation means you can't feel the drag change — and that's the whole safety mechanism.
Use it on towel-dried skin after a soak — that's where it performs best. The barrel is built to be rinsed under running water and air-dried, but the motor housing is not submersible. Soak, dry, treat, rinse the head. Never charge it wet.
Yes — mineral grit is consumable, exactly like sandpaper. Both barrels are included, and with passes every 7–10 days a barrel lasts months before the grit dulls. You'll feel it before you see it: when a pass takes noticeably longer than usual, swap it.

I stopped hiding my feet at the pool
Three sessions over two weeks and the difference is not subtle. I'd been buying callus creams for two years and they did nothing, because they were never reaching the actual problem. The soak-first step is not optional — the time I skipped it, everything took twice as long.
Bought it for hiking calluses, use it weekly now
Long-distance walking wrecks the outer edge of my heels every summer. Filing by hand took forever. This does the same area in under two minutes, and the direction switch genuinely matters on the curve.
12-hour shifts, and my heels finally recovered
Nurse, on my feet all day. My heels were cracking to the point of catching on bedsheets. Two coarse sessions, fine barrel to finish, cream after — smooth for the first time in years. Quiet enough to use in the evening.
Better than my pedicures, and it holds longer
The salon result never lasted more than two weeks, and I never loved them using the rough tool on me. Now I do a pass on Sundays and my feet just stay smooth. The barrel rinsing clean is the part I didn't expect to care about.
Smooth isn't luck. It's a Sunday habit.
Two barrels. One protocol. Then never think about your heels again — which is the entire point.
